Nigeria (2)

NIGERIA 1994 - AWAY SHIRT - ADIDAS

The odd part of collecting shirt: you search for years a shirt, never sold anywhere. Then in a couple of weeks you find a former player willing to let his old shirt join your collection, and finally you receive it in mint condition! This beauty it's the jersey used by Fuludu Edema during AFCON 1994, just a couple of months before WC 1994. It's the same model worn in USAm but with red numbers. Surely a masterpiece for my collection.

United States Virgin Islands (2)

USVI 2011 - HOME SHIRT - SQUADRA

Another nice piece of caribbean football history is coming into my collection. USVI shirt before Admiral were always hard to find, so I did not have many hopes to find one of these around. I come in contact with mr Shumba Bailey, USVI Soccer Federation general secretary, and he literally threw out this shirt from the storage room! One of my favourite ever!

Curacao (2)

CURACAO 2018/19 - HOME SHIRT - NIKE

Curacao will soon play its 2nd consecutive Gold Cup, confirming to be one of the best emerging team in Concacaf zone. I struggles a bit to get my hands on one of the last Curacao kit, until I find mr Alexander Molina, Curacao technical director and one of the brain of the Federashon Futbol Korsou. After chatting a bit, he asked the kitman for an issued shirt of the national team, and it comes complete with Nations League patch on the sleeve!

Oman (3)

OMAN 2017/18 - HOME SHIRT - TAJ

Another match worn, and it's never easy when you are speaking of asian countries. I managed someway to get in contact with Raed Ibrahim Saleh Al-Mukhaini, who is playing since 2017 in Malta and speaks good english. After a recent trip home for some friendly matches he bring back this shirt and sent to me!

Grenada (2)

GRENADA 2004 - HOME SHIRT - ADMIRAL

It's never easy finding old caribbean shirts, as those tend to be used and worn till going in garbage can. I was lucky enough the president of Grenada FA mr Joseph Cheney has still one of this sample at home and accepted to donate it for my collection. This kit was used for sure in WC 2006 first round vs Guyana, as the picture below is from that match, but probably even in some other from the same period. Sadly, it's hard to find pics nowadays.

Comoros (2)

COMOROS 2016/17 - HOME SHIRT - MAANA SPORT

My second Comoros shirt is one of the bext example of how little kit manufacturer could provide nice shirts to national teams. The jersey was provided by the owner of Maana Sport, and he is also part of Comoros FA. This shirt is issued for Ahmed Mogni.

Qatar (2)

QATAR 2008/10 - HOME SHIRT - BURRDA

This shirt is indeed the same as my previous Qatar one, but it's a match shirt from the friendly played in Sarajevo in 2010 vs Bosnia Herzegovina (1-1). Qatar was at the time managed by the legendary coach Bruno Metsu, but I am yet to determine which player worn this shirt. I have to thank my bosnian friend Brizzo for providing me this!

Solomon Islands (2)

SOLOMON ISLANDS 2016/7 - HOME SHIRT - BOCINI

It's always great and at the same time hard getting shirts from Oceania. This is indeed an historical one, first because it's coming from Benjamin "Benji" Totori, one of the best players ever for Solomon Islands. Second, because it was used during World Cup 2018 qualifiers (you could spot, it missed 1 patch that was torn away), when the team reached the final stage before losing to New Zealand.

Liechtenstein (3)

LIECHTENSTEIN 2018 - HOME SHIRT - MACRON

This is my 3rd Liechtenstein shirt, and probably the last one! The player who donated this one, Michele Polverino, has Italian descendants and even played in Italy for season, during 2005/06 in Olbia.
The shirt is from one of the last 2 Nations League matches (Macedonia or Gibraltar) and it's also with autograph.

Nicaragua (2)

NICARAGUA 2017/18 - HOME SHIRT - JOMA

For some odd reason, Nicaragua had always been a drama to find an official shirt around. They are playing quite often and even in ranked tournament, but their shirt is not widely available, I would instead say it's the hardest one in central America. Not many Nicaraguan players are played outward the country, but one of them is playing for Birkirkara FC, a team from Malta. His name is Carlos Chavarria, and I managed to get in contact with him and ask him if he still has a jersey. He had one, but being busy with training and matches he struggled to send in Italy. I asked help to Kenneth Formosa, a Maltese friend and collector, who visited Carlos and got the shirt for me! The shirt had originally Copa Centroamericana patch on the sleeve, that unfortunately went lost during shipment. I still hope Carlos will found it somewhere in his house :D

British Virgin Islands (2)

BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS 2011/15 - HOME SHIRT - ADIDAS

I always liked the main colour of BVI shirt, and despite I was lucky enough to have one when it was almost impossible to get, I got a plain white one :D
So during the years I tried to find an home shirt, and it happened to write to Nano Ottley, who collected some caps for the "Nature Boyz" during the last years.
He still had one old shirt at home, and managed someway to send it in Italy. Thank you Nano!

Guyana (2)

GUYANA 2015/18 - HOME SHIRT - ADMIRAL

My second Guyana jersey is indeed quite identical to the other one I have, but there are 2 main differences: this one is missing the jaguar on the sleeve (present only on replica jersey for some odd reason) and, linked to that, this shirt is worn by the team. It's coming from Walter Moore, who actually is spending his career in Finland. I was longtime in contact with him, and finally he managed to get this jersey, used by various players including probably himself in some matches during last years (friendlies and WC qualifiers).
